Why even bother if it will be moved? Or moved again and again in the future?

The arboretum will always be here.

why bother? moving part of it, and adding tremendous improvements is hardly reason to abandon our efforts. Its not moving the veterans memorial only the portion by Rte 6 and gaining a larger lot and private parking. I say donate and donate generously!

If the value of the bench is $750 and you sell 150 tickets at $5 =$750 you make nothing. So how much do you make on the bench or is the bench donated ?

Maybe we can get Tom Majot's or John Wright's name engraved on it. Maybe we can swap it for the caboose, lord known we swap everything else in this town.

When a bench or light is purchased for the Arboretum the price includes guaranteed replacement if needed. The benches are scrubbed and refinished as needed. I BELIEVE Coudersport area will always have an Arboretum no matter what happens to the piece of property by Sheetz. That being said the borough council meetings are open to the public. The Arboretum meetings are also open to the public. Donations in time or financial are always needed. My next statement is that I believe Sheetz is an accident looking for a place to happen. I don't know what the solution is but I'm greatly concerned that someone will be seriously hurt in that lot. Please come support our community ,support the Arboretum ,come visit the beautiful Wall of Honor
