Am I the only one who see`s something wrong here ?
No you're not.....fishy?????
This ought to be good. Okay, 1:18, what's wrong with a private company supporting a fund that helps low-income families be able to provide after-school care for their kids? Please refrain from the hanus practice of turning this into a political discussion that lays bear any personal or uninformed agenda you're following.
oh yes it is just so wrong and fishy that they would make a donation to help out children! How dare they. Have to try and find the bad in everything and if it is not there lets just make it up.
Can they donate to CAMA to cover legal expenses, so CAMA can defend their plan to sacrifice the Allegheny to fulfill JKLM'S waste disposal needs? So far CAMA is down 24k of sewage customers money.
1:18 & 2:27 educate us
Sacrifice the Allegheny? Good Lord, you have road salt, ag runoff (including chemicals), tons of soil erosion, effluent from sewage treatment plants in Coudersport, Port Allegany, Olean and Portville, malfunctioning septic systems, and who knows what else all entering the stream from Potter County down west of Olean, and you're saying that adding distilled water that goes into a sewage plant and comes out the other end is going to "Sacrifice the Allegheny?" What science books are you reading? My master's degree surely can't match your much more advanced education, so please elaborate and enlighten. We need more learned people like 3:09 blessing us with their advanced knowledge.
Hey 2:54 the word is HAINOUS, not HANUS.
Hey 3:49 the word is HEINOUS not Hainous
Actually you are both wrong, The word is spelled heinous. And to poster 3:49 you need to become way more educated about the subject at hand. Have you read anything about CAMA's new project ? Have you attended a CAMA meeting within the last year? Are the concerns of the approximately 150 people that attended the last CAMA meeting unfounded ? I think not. Undoubtedly there are sewers that do empty into the Allegheny river. That is indeed bad but sewage decomposes-radium DOES NOT.
Thank you JKLM !!!!
Not taking sides here, but Josie I don't think that the complex scientific and technical education that one needs to assess this issue can be found at a CAMA meeting or by listening to uninformed, emotional testimony. I think the really hanus thing is to have any kind of policy like this based on who shouts the loudest or shows up in the greatest numbers.
Winning the hearts and minds of the locals ?
Why is 24 thousand dollars of sewage customer's money paying for a watse treatment plant to treat JKLM's waste?
Josie....I think YOU need to educate YOUR self. There are trace amounts of Radium in ALL of the water around our area as there has been for centuries...however, if you refer to your periodic table you will see that Radium is one of the heaviest elements on the chart as compared to Hydrogen which is the lightest and oxygen which isn't far behind. Also, you will find that while water boils at 212 degrees and turns to a vapor, radium has a melting point of 1292 degrees and a boiling point of 3159 and therefore will not carry over with the distilled water. In fact , the only elements that could possibly carry over would be helium, Lithium, Carbon, and nitrogen. So...before you try to tell us , from your infinite knowledge, what happens when water boils, maybe you need to just remain quiet and humble instead of spewing your "heinous" jargon.
5:37:00 The folks who showed up at the CAMA meeting were educated and informed. Nobody shouted. Whether this facility would get constructed or not WAS the $64,000 question BEFORE that meeting. But the people who attended the meeting made it crystal clear if CAMA proceeds; they will take legal action.
Sewage users lost 24K or more so far, I doubt they will cover CAMA’s legal fees. It’s over. Epiphany and CAMA board members just need to recognize this.
5:37 when the public speaks out, public servents need to listen. And if they don't base their decisions at least in part on the fact huge numbers showed up to oppose this. Than the CAMA board members should be replaced.
Thank You very much JKLM! Your donations are greatly appreciated.
Does anyone think that it is odd that JKLM representatives have taken the CAMA members out to dinner at the Golf Club on more than one occasion ?
Look at the good JKLM has done for our community. Perhaps meant as a peace offering for bringing change to Potter County or maybe they are truly good people. They have done many good things for our community. Donations to many programs including saving the pool. They have brought jobs to the area, boosting local businesses. I may not be on board with the latest plan to build a water recycle plant of sorts but I do appreciate their generosity to Potter County.
Another payoff
I am curious as to what jobs they have brought to the area and what local businesses they are boosting.
Another payoff indeed. Maybe JKLM should be saving their pennies so they can help to pay CAMA's legal fees should CAMA continue down the path that they are on. Also are the monies that are generated by the water and sewer bills free for CAMA to use as they please ? I have yet to see or hear an answer to this question.
7:24, no I dont think it's funny. I was uncomfortable when i saw Tod Brown sitting at the Crit with the JKLM reps after the DEP hearing. I wouldn't have giben it a second thought if CAMA didn't pour over 24k into the waste treatment plant. It would probably be a good idea to replace the CAMA board members. Sewage users deserve to know CAMA's bank account is being handled responsibly.
Getting the board members to cover the site prep, permits and engineering costs for the Epiphany project was worth more than a few steak dinners at the golf club. Sewage users deserve board members that will handle the sewage plant finances responsibly. If these board members are sent packing, JKLM wouldn’t buy them a hamburger from McDonald’s drive thru.
They are greedy people who are taking advantage of small town "folk". It's embarrassing to see 1,000.00 checks given. It's a slap in the face. Keep accepting the bribes from JKLM. Go ahead.
Perhaps JKLM will be paying for Disney trips and condo rentals soon. Stay tuned!
