Janet A. Frase, age 83, of 113 Swede St., Dagus Mines, PA, died Wednesday evening April 25, 2018 at her residence following a lengthy illness. 

She was born February 27, 1935, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Charles and Julia (Dietz) Leasgang. She was married to Frank F. Frase in 1972, he preceded her in death in 1991. 

She resided in Dagus Mines for 10 years and was formerly of Ridgway. She was Protestant by faith. She enjoyed watching the Yankees play baseball on TV, going for rides in the car, sitting outside soaking in the sun, and watching the cats chase each other around the house. She had been employed by Keystone Carbon for 28 years.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Donna (Scott) Geiser of Dagus Mines and Tina Dunkle and her boyfriend Kim Robert of Dents Run, 2 sons: William Rowland of Nanticoke, PA and Donald Rowland of Pennsylvania, 7 grandchildren: Benjamin, Mark, Douglas, Kimberly, Shawn, Travis, and Kyle, 14 great grandchildren, 1 sister Ethel Benini of Kersey, and several nieces and nephews. 

 Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter Christine Rowland, 1 sister Gertrude Lanzel, 4 brothers: Tom, Richard, Howard, and Charles Leasgang.

Funeral and Committal Services for Janet A. Frase will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Monday April 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. David Pflieger, Chaplain for the Community Nurses Hospice. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. 

Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Community Nurses Hospice Program.
