Theft, Criminal Mischief, Unknown Suspects – Wellsboro Borough and Duncan Township, Tioga County, & Abbott Township, Potter County, PA

The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop F, Coudersport, Troop F, Mansfield, and Wellsboro Police Department, continue multiple investigations of theft and criminal mischief that occurred throughout Tioga and Potter County, PA.

Between the dates of January 29, 2018, and February 12, 2018, the Wellsboro Police Department and the PA State Police are investigating incidents where several Video Poker/Games of Chance Gambling Machines were broken into and large amounts of money were stolen at several locations throughout Tioga and Potter Counties.

Kevin Smith Amusements reported $3,865.00 was missing from their Pennsylvania Skill Machine located in Your Mamma’s Mug located at 13 Crafton Street within the Borough of Wellsboro. The VICTIM also reported cash $1,383.00 was missing from the Pennsylvania Skill Machine located at The Wellsboro Social Club located at 127 Kelsey Street within the Borough of Wellsboro.

Additionally, the PA State Police, Mansfield, investigated a Theft from the machine at the Duncan Tavern located on 292 Antrim Rd. in Duncan Township; where it was reported that $2,639.00 was stolen from the machine. The PA State Police, Coudersport, also responded to the Germania Hotel located at 1361 Germania Road in Abbot Township. Which it was reported that during the same time period a PA Skill Machine had $3,071 stolen from the machine.

All the incidents appeared to be linked and likely related. Some suspects have been identified, but if you have information or witnessed anyone tampering or stealing from the PA Skill Machines at any of the listed locations please submit a Tip to PA Crime Stoppers.
