Pioneer Oil Museum of New York
The second inductee into this year's New York State Oil Producers' Association Wall of Fame is Henry "Hank" Lindquist, a legend in the Bolivar area for many years. How many people remember him from the school's bus garage?
Come to the induction ceremony on Friday, June 22 to join the festivities.
Henry “Hank” Lindquist attended school in both Bolivar and Little Genesee. At the age of seventeen he began work in the local oil fields for Messer Oil Company leading to a lifetime of self-employment in the local fields. A member of the congregation of Faith Bible Church for many years, he helped build the structure that today houses that church in Little Genesee. He and his wife were members of the Enchanted Mountains Square Dancing Club. Hank owned two Model A and one Model T antique cars that he loved showing off, and he repaired antique clocks as a hobby.
