Marie Y. Speedy, 79, of Lakewood, NY formerly of Limestone, NY passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018, peacefully, at Lutheran Home in Jamestown.

Born January 24, 1939 in Bradford, PA she was a daughter of the late Mervin and Mary Ann (Quinn) Yohe.

She was a 1957 graduate of St. Bernard High School and a graduate of Spencer Hospital School of Nursing class of 1960 in Meadville.

Marie had been employed as a Nurse at the Bradford Hospital, and St. Francis Hospital in Hornell, NY, but cherished the time she spent as a homemaker

She loved to garden, cook meals for family and friends, but most especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Michele (Robert) Hoden, and Mary (Lyle) Hajdu all of Lakewood NY, and Gail (Darryl) Mayeaux, of Allegany, NY, three grandchildren, Heather Hoden, Heidi Hoden and William Hoden, two brothers, John "Jack" Yohe, and Thomas (Susan) Yohe, all of Bradford, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Gary Speedy, Jr., two sisters Mary Ann Maley and Myra E. Peterson, four brothers Robert, Clair, Gerald "Jugg" Yohe and infant Mervin Yohe.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday June 15, 2018, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main St.,at which time funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church officiating.
