Trump's military parade estimated to cost $92M

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) —

A U.S. official says the Veterans Day military parade ordered up by President Donald Trump would cost about $92 million -- more than three times the maximum initial estimate.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss plans that haven't yet been released, said about $50 million would cover Pentagon costs for equipment, personnel and other support for the November parade in Washington, D.C. Read more....

Trump's Military Parade Postponed Amid Rising Costs
Consider it rained on. The military parade requested by President Trump to honor veterans and commemorate the 100th anniversary of WWI’s end is being postponed at least until 2019, according to the Defense Department. The decision followed new cost estimates three times higher than those stated earlier by the White House. Planned for November, the parade’s now expected to cost $92 million — up from earlier figures echoing the cost of 1991’s Persian Gulf War victory parade. Trump was reportedly inspired by Bastille Day celebrations he attended in Paris last year.

Several other agencies would have covered remaining costs, mainly consisting of security provisions, the government sources said.

However, defence secretary James Mattis has rubbished the reports, suggesting whoever claimed the parade was set to cost upwards of $90m was “probably smoking something.”

“I'm not dignifying that number with a reply,” the Pentagon chief told reporters while traveling to the Colombian capital Bogota.

“I would discount that, and anybody who said it, I'll almost guarantee you one thing: They probably said, 'I need to stay anonymous.' No kidding, because you look like an idiot.

“And number two, whoever wrote it needs to get better sources. I'll just leave it at that.”

$92 million for him to puff out his chest and show someone mine is bigger then yours. "I can assure my hands aren`t small"....when he contributes nothing to pay for it in personal taxes! Waste of time/money!!!

So what if he wants a parade in his honor, look how much money his policies have added to the economy already, the money shouldn't matter when it comes to making america great again

He should get those pesky bone spurs fixed before marching in a parade'

A military parade to honor veterans would of been very nice and stirred much patriotism among legal Americans. The liberal socialist democrats know that and can't have that with elections coming up in november. They are still whining about the beating they took in november of 2016 and preceding house and senate elections. It didn't matter that obama spent millions on taking his family on vacation or that he ran the debt up more than all other presidents combined or that President Trump isn't even taking a salary for being President. It's no wonder why many loyal Americans are no longer voting democrat and have become disgusted with their once great party. The final nail in the democrat's hopes of having one of their own in the white house was struck at 2:50 am. on that fateful november morning of 2016 with Pennsylvania, and northwestern Pa. in general pushing Mr. Trump up and over the top and that cannot be changed and as more and more is revealed about the deep state's shenanigans and as more and more democrats openly sabotage their own campaigns by opening mouth before engaging brain then I'm sure the dems whining will continue as time passes.
