Ronald R. Robson, 83, of Curtis Road in Ludlow, PA, died Friday, September 7, 2018 in Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Born July 2, 1938 in Kane, he was the son of Al and Nell Robson. He was married to the former Barbara Gonyo, who survives.

US Army Veteran
Having grown up in Erie, he graduated from East Erie High School in 1956, served in the U.S. Army, attended Broward Community College, and settled in Ft. Lauderdale, where he joined the Ft. Lauderdale Fire Department, from which he retired as Deputy Fire Chief in 1991 after 28 years of service.

He was an avid hunter throughout the United States, Nova Scotia, Haidi Gwaii and British Columbia. By his side for the past forty years, he and his wife Barb shared many adventures including travel, fishing, cruises, auctions and estate sales, buying and selling antiques.

He was a lifetime member of BPO Elks #329 in Kane, the Kane Fish & Game Club and the Wilcox Sportsmen’s Club.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his children Troy and Tracy, his siblings Joseph and Donna, two grandchildren; and Barb’s three children Donald, Pamela and Tracey, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Friends may call on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 6:00 until 7:00 at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., at which time a celebration of his life will be held. Interment of his cremated remains will be in Gibbs Hill Cemetery, Ludlow.

A reception will follow at the Kane Elks Club.
