When do I get my free gas?

False equivalence on your behalf. Drug addiction is a health issue and Naloxone is needed to save lives. The drug epidemic is a serious issue and you’re not helping things by bringing up something completely unrelated. And it’s not free...tax dollars are used to help combat this issue. So it sounds like you’re completely okay with your fellow citizens dying from a health issue. Immoral and disgusting.

That is pretty good. We will give free stuff to druggies but working people have trouble paying for their medications. Nice.

What world do you live in?? People die every day from heart problems, cancer, and many other horrible things. They have to pay for meds and treatment.

@1248 They CHOSE to abuse drugs. They are addicted now, but the initial choice for most of them, was a conscious decision. Diabetes, heart disease, MS, etc.....ARE true diseases which the person has little or no control over whether or not they get it. Yet we still pay for our own meds.

They chose to do drugs......let them find there own way back....not a my expense

In a lot of cases addiction began with valid prescription for opioid from physician. Patient then could not stop at end of pills. Medical community and big pharma is complicit

12:48 how many times do the EMT's have to pick the same person up in one day for drug overdose? My son is an EMT and has picked the same person up in the morning and in the afternoon for drug overdose. My husband has thousands of dollars in medical bill because of a heart attack but no one will help pay his way. The tax dollars that pay for the overdose drugs comes out of the working mans pockets. He did not choose to have a heart attack. You need to look at the statistics of how many people on drugs who overdose keep doing it until it is to late. I agree it is a terrible thing but it is their choice!

You son is breaking HIPPA laws by telling you who he is picking up. Not cool.

Then the headline should read” Naloxone available at taxpayers’ expense at the following facilities while taxpayers with medical bills are unable to make ends meet with no help in sight”

4:47 not if they tweet in public

4:47 He didn't tell me who he picked up or where he picked up. Lives in a different state than I do. Just said he picked the same person up twice in one day for an overdose. I don't think that is a hippa violation.

Naloxone is not an overdose drug. It is used and if an addict chooses to use it sends u into an immediate state of withdrawal and makes u so sick u would have a hard time using again. Narcan is what u are complaining about. Learn something

Anonymous said...

Stop doing illegal drugs... or face the consequences.....problem solved

Anonymous said...

So if someone has a disease on medical assistance it doesn't come out of tax payers pockets. Alcoholism, cancer, pregnancy, etc....etc....etc

Anonymous said...

I agree definitely their choice. Welcome to our crooked world. Working people pay while lazy people ride for free. You chose something you know is wrong so you should expect to pay the price. Bottom line plain and simple

Anonymous said...

If you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem. Don't wanna spend taxpayer money on them. So let them die. Wait til it's someone u love. And that is absolutely a HIPAA violation. Someone posted pics of a Nazi tattoo on a guys chest receiving medical treatment and had to pay a million dollars for violation of HIPAA policy

You people are so small minded.

I would have been nervous about going to pick this up in McKean or Potter County, with their grandstanding, publicity-seeking DA's. Wouldn't put it past them to send their minions out to record license plates, and then access the driver's license database to harass and arrest people.

Just like everything else working Man has to pay for all the lazy people, I don't know what this world is coming to.

Anonymous said...

So when can I start getting free medication?I didn't choose to have some ailments, but I still have to pay for the treatments and medicine.

This country is going more backwards every day!

" Narcan" is a brand name of naloxone. Learn something

HIPAA* first off
Second off not breaking any laws if you say “I picked up the same person twice this shift” and don’t give any other details.

This all just sucks!!! Our elderly and veterans and hard working American citizens go without while the lazy lawbreakers are constantly being protected! It just sickens me

Do you choose cancer? Not usually. Did you choose to get pregnant? Sometimes but you still chose to “dance”. Did you choose addiction? No I just chose to put addictive substances in your body. So of course you deserve free access to co dependency government assistance.cancer is truly a disease. The others are a choice

So when can I smoke weed leagaly? I will buy it myself wth we would rather have junkies robbing cars instead of stoners robbing snack drawers

I was prescribed Percocet by a doctor a few years ago and I took one pill....It made me so loopy and out of my mind that I choose NOT to take anymore even after they told me to try 1/2 a pill. I took Tylenol instead. It wasn't that hard of a decision for me to make. Why do people continue to take it when doctors prescribe it if you know what the consequences could bring. It's a choice. If I ever get prescribed opioids again will I take them? Absolutely not.

Some people are more vulnerable to addiction...for them it is a disease. You folks are mad at the wrong group of people. You’re blaming the powerless who have a health issue. Do you blame people for getting cancer? Didn’t think so. Everyone deserves healthcare. Not only is it cheaper (it saves our country 5 trillion over 10 years) it is the moral thing to do. Folks shouldn’t go into bankruptcy because of medical bills. From veterans, kids with cancer, seniors...and yes, even those addicted to drugs deserve to get treatment and help without going deep into debt. Some people are so selfish and have no empathy. You defend the status quo and people on top and blame the powerless who need a helping hand. Unbelievable.

The powerless!?! Have the power to say “No”. No, Dr I don’t want that med. Gove me something else.
Not that hard to say
