Catherine A. (Cotty) Paige

Catherine A. (Cotty) Paige, age 97, formerly of 239 Monterey Ave., Ridgway, PA, died Friday morning January 11, 2019, at Ridgmont Personal Care following a brief illness. 

 She was born October 24, 1921, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Henry “Ike” and Lena (Keller) Severin. She married William B. Paige on September 18, 1943, he preceded her in death on November 7, 1999. 

She resided in Ridgway most of her life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. She was a member of the C.D. of A. where she had received her 70 year pin and the Senior Center. She was a 1939 graduate of Corry High School. She had been employed by Sylvania in Emporium and retired from Alltel.

She is survived by the following children: Gail A. (J.R.) Kander of High Springs, FL, Janet M. (Wayne) Allegretto of Ridgway, Patricia M. (Robert) Loughran of Pittsburgh, and Dean W. Paige of Ridgway, 10 grandchildren: James, H.B., Julie, Amy, David, Sara, Leah, Samantha, Allyson, and Gregory, 8 great grandchildren: Casey, Parker, Hallie, Anthony, Liam, Evan, Keegan, and Paige, 1 sister Jean Towner of Lakeland, FL, and several nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 sister Helen S. Herzing.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine A. Paige will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Leo Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-7 PM. A Wake Service will be held Tuesday evening at the funeral home at 6:45 PM. 

Memorials, if desired, can be made to the donor’s choice.
