Five Year Match Graduates from The Guidance Center's Big Brothers Big Sisters Program

Little Brother Zachary Hilyer and his Bigs, Bob and Ann James, are recent graduates of The Guidance Center’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. On February 13th, Zach’s eighteenth birthday, the match celebrated five years and five months together.

Over the course of their match with Zachary, they have supported him with his academics, volunteered with the McKean County SPCA and at Bowl For Kids Sake events, and helped him earn Boy Scouting badges. Bob, Ann, and Zachary enjoy hiking at Twin Lakes, bicycle rides, ice fishing, canoeing, and playing card games.

Bob and Ann have been volunteer mentors since 2011. Zachary has been a Little with the program since 2010. He aspires to attend Triangle Tech upon graduation from Kane Area High School. Big Brothers Big Sisters thanks this ‘team of three’ for their participation and wishes them well on their future endeavors.

Nineteen children in McKean County are in need of a volunteer mentor. Please call Big Brothers Big Sisters toll free at 1-877-776-1636 or 814-887-5591 if you would like to learn more.
