Howard H. Myers, Jr., age 93, formerly of 408 Oak St., Ridgway, PA, died Thursday morning, February 21, 2019, at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness. 

He was born July 26, 1925, in Mt. Jewett, PA, son of the late Howard H. and Ann Mae (Minns) Myers, Sr. He married Gilberta R. DeCecchis on April 12, 1947, she preceded him in death on February 2, 2011. 

He resided in Ridgway most of his life and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 77 years, The American Legion, Ridgway Elks, Ridgway V.F.W., Odd Fellows and Auxiliary Police Dept. He was a graduate of the Ridgway High School. 
WWII & Korean War Veteran

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Veteran of WW II and The Korean War. He had been employed by the Elliott Company and retired from Clarion Sintered Metals in July of 1990.

He is survived by the following children: Ruth (Horace) Gaddy of Newnan, GA, Susan (James) Jordan of Ridgway, Ronald (Bernadine) Myers of Ridgway, Donald (Lisa) Myers of St. Marys, and Judy (Edward) Northrop of Butler, PA, 12 grandchildren: John Frank, Michelle Howard, Jennifer Corbitt, Leslie Miller, Aaron Jordan, Eric Jordan, Russell Myers, Angela Myers, Brandon Myers, Brian Myers, Matthew Northrop, and Jared Northrop, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 brother John (Kathy) Myers of DuBois. 

Besides his parents and wife of 63 years, he was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren: Frank Clark and Ann Marie Martino, and 2 sisters: Marion Jones and Florence Smith.

Funeral and Committal Services for Howard H. Myers, Jr. will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Monday, February 25, 2019, at 11:00 AM with Military Honors accorded by the Ridgway Servicemen’s Burial Detail. Officiating will be Ronald L. Burkett, Pastor of the Hallton Church. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Sunday from 5-8 PM.
