ROULETTE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS JANUARY SPECIAL MEETING

January 24, 2019The Roulette Township Board of Supervisors held a special meeting on January 24, 2019 at the Roulette Township Building. Chairman of the Board, Jeremy Morey, called the meeting to order at 6:00pm. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Also present were Supervisors Brian Drabert and Jim Ostrom.

VISITORS ATTENDING:
• Present at the meeting were: Mike Fessenden, Cody Lentz, David Morey, Halie Kines, Dawn Kent, Jeff Fessenden, Karen Johnson, Garrett Drabert, Jerry Drabert, Glenn Drabert, Kathy Barrett, Steve McDowell, George Green, and A. J. Coval from Nittany Engineering.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
• Jerry Drabert asked if anyone has ever asked Mr. Causer to come to one of the township meetings to let him see how hard the state mandates are on the small townships.
• George Green asked about the auto dialer at Bow Hunter Dr. and who is supposed to be answering them.

OLD BUSINESS:
• A. J. gave an update on where the township stands with the PennVest grant/loan. He is in the middle of DEP permits and will be applying for PennVest in August due to more money being available then. CDBG should be bid in February/March area and that he would be up here for the February meeting with some paperwork. There was no discussion from the floor.
• The Friends of the Library asked to separate the recycling from the library so the library can have their own hours. All three supervisors agreed. There was no discussion from the floor.
• After much discussion on the new vacancy rate from supervisors, property owners, and concerned residents, Supervisor Morey made a motion to put the vacancy rate on hold another month so they can examine rates. They also will look to see what they can do internally to cut costs. Supervisor Drabert seconded the motion and the motion was carried.

ADJOURN:
There being no further business to discuss, Supervisor Morey moved to adjourn. Supervisor Drabert seconded the motion and the motion was carried. The meeting was adjourned at 7:13 p.m.
