First Citizens Community Bank Applauds Employees

MANSFIELD, PA (March 2019) At their company-wide meeting on President’s Day each year, the employees of First Citizens Community Bank celebrate accomplishments from the previous year and learn about future initiatives that will keep their company moving in the right direction. This year, the Bank recognized employees for their years of service, contributions to major projects, giving spirits, and ambitious attitudes.

“This is our day to learn a little and laugh a lot,” commented Randall E. Black, CEO and President. “Our family of employees work hard every day for us and our customers. Since we now operate in 11 counties, having the opportunity to celebrate their hard work together as a team, all in one place, is very special.”

Each year the Bank selects two employees to receive the honor of Employee of the Year, which, according to Black, is not an easy task. “Each and every employee makes a difference in who we are and how we perform. That’s what’s so great about this team.”

Receiving the honor this year were Sean McKinney and Pam Munford.

McKinney began his career with First Citizens in 2016 as a business lender and Ag Team Leader in the Banks Lebanon and Lancaster markets. He was challenged with an aggressive five-year growth plan, and under his leadership, the South Central Ag Team surpassed their goal before 2018 came to a close.

Munford’s career began in 2004, and through a series of promotions is now the Bank Controller, responsible for cost control, preparing financial data, handling asset liability issues and managing the Bank’s annual budget process.

Phil Vaughn, the Branch Manager of First Citizens Ulysses Office, was the recipient of the Volunteer of the Year award. Vaughn supports his community by staying active in nine not-for-profit organizations, having served on some boards more than 20 years. In recognition of his efforts, the Bank donated $500 to a charity of his choice.

Twenty-seven employees were recognized for milestone years of service to the Company and received shares of stock and extra vacation days. Many others received lunch on the Bank and recognition for reaching performance goals.

A guest speaker added more laughs to the day, but not more than those as a result of roasting a long-term employee, Terry Osborne. Stories and photos were shared about Osborne, who upon retirement next year, will have spent 44 years as a member of First Citizens.

“Today is about giving recognition to our most important asset…our employees,” said Black. “Without them, we’d be just another Bank instead of one of the top performing community banks in the country, and that’s worth celebrating!”

First Citizens Community Bank is headquartered in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. They currently operate 28 offices throughout Tioga, Bradford, Potter, Clinton, Union, Centre, Lebanon, Lancaster, Schuylkill and Berks counties in Pennsylvania and Allegany County New York.
