BRADFORD, PA (April 9, 2019)—Journey Health System®, a 509(a)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Bradford, Pennsylvania, recently received a registered trademark status from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for their name and logo.

Founded in July 2015, Journey Health System provides integration and administrative services to the following affiliates: Beacon Light Behavioral Health System of Bradford, Beacon Light Adult Residential Services (Ramsbottom), Dickinson Center, Forest-Warren Mental Health and Stairways Behavioral Health of Erie. Several support services include finance, marketing and communications, information technology, plant and operations, human resources, clinical best practice consultation and other functions.

Overall, Journey Health System’s affiliates employ over 1,200 people, provide behavioral health services in 18 Pennsylvania counties, and generate over $80 million annually. Richard B. Seager is the president and CEO of Journey Health System and the Board of Directors is comprised of representative board members from each affiliate organization.

Journey Health System applied for the registered trademark status several months ago to protect the organization’s brand and the positive reputational history of their affiliates. The mission of Journey Health System is “to serve your mission”. This is done by…

· Bringing like-minded agencies together under a support corporation concept to maximize strengths while neutralizing weaknesses.

· Increasing opportunities for service growth and leveraging best practices for better outcomes.

· Enhancing financial stability and bargaining strength.

· Identifying needs within individual communities and developing programs and services locally to serve those needs.

· Leveraging the extensive expertise of clinical care, as well as, human service administration and support to provide the public, as well as other providers, with the stability of local healthcare options.
