Veterans’ Resource Fair

Do you need assistance with VA Health Care or Benefits?

Veterans and families are invited to attend the McKean County Veterans Resource Fair on:






Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 2:00pm-6:00pm at the Kane Community Center, 46 South Frailey St, Kane, PA 16735. (Do not forget to sign up for Door prizes)

During the Veterans Resource Fair, community agencies, health experts and members of the Erie VA Medical Center (VAMC) leadership team will be on-site to answer questions, provide information, and to meet with Veterans face-to-face. Veterans and their families will be able to meet with:
• Erie VA Medical Center (VAMC) & McKean VA Clinic health experts – will provide blood pressure screenings and flu shots for Veterans eligible for VA services
• VA Eligibility & Enrollment information
• University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will have representatives on site from the Admissions Office to discuss Educational Opportunities at Pitt-Bradford and the use of GI-Bill / Veteran’s Benefits
• Vet Center – to provide information about readjustment counseling available to combat Vets and families
• McKean County & Community Veteran Service Officers – to assist Veterans in filing claims
• DAV Transportation Representative
• PA CareerLink will support Veteran job seekers and family members who are looking for employment and/or career guidance

Veterans not enrolled in VA healthcare or are interested in speaking to eligibility representatives or a Benefits Counsell or are encouraged to bring a copy of their DD-214 service discharge papers. These representatives will be on-site and will screen for eligibility for VA services and benefits.

The Veterans Resource Fair is proudly sponsored by the McKean County Community Veteran Engagement Board and hosted by the Kane Community Center. The engagement board is aimed at opening the lines of communication between Veterans, the Veterans Administration, and community stakeholders.
