Governor Wolf Signs Law Amending Tobacco, Vaping Regulations

Erie News Now
20 hrs ·

#BREAKING: Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf signed two bills into law, which amend tobacco legislation to prohibit the sale of any tobacco, nicotine or related item to anyone under 21 years of age.

The legislation also expands the definition of a tobacco product to include e-cigarettes and other vaping products, and expressly prohibits the possession of these items on school grounds.

Interesting that the "age of adulthood" was changed to 18, some years ago, along with the right to vote. Yet now 18 year olds cannot buy tobacco or that vaping junk? They're either old enough to make adult decisions, or they aren't. Which is it?

Must be the tobacco company's haven't lined his pockets enough.

Define "school grounds"? I am an 18 year old senior, already signed with the Airforce, model student academically and behviorally. I'm slated for graduation in June. I woek part tine. I smoke cigarettes. That's legal and nobody's business but my own. I do not smoke in school, not do I bring tobacco into the building. I do, however, leave a pack of cigarettes in my car. Does this mean I am breaking the law? I'd like some clarification before the Gestapo makes an issue out if nothing.

Old enough to Die For Your Country. Not old enough to buy tobacco. What's wrong with this country.

But you obviously did not pay attention in basic grammar and spelling 101, did you? You woek part time? "Not do I bring tobacco into the building?" "Before the Gestapo makes an issue out if nothing?" I'd be afraid if you were a pilot and pressed the incorrect button sunshine. Save your money, your lungs will thank you for it.

Posters at 7:17 are the type of negative, fault-finding, backwards old farts that this country really doesn't need. This young person asked a simple question and the response does nothing but attempt to berate the student. Apparently poster at 7:17 does not possess any answers and isnt even intelligent enough to understand that auto-correct on phones often garbles a few words. I wonder if he or she even has a job.

At least he's willing to push those buttons. All you can do is correct his grammar? You should go outside more often.Find something usefull to do with your time.

To the senior's question.....yes it's illegal for you to have a pack of smokes left in your car on school property. Also ignore the ignorance of the professional spell checker that couldn't bother to answer your question but instead was an ass to you about missed spelled words I'm sure your phone switched!

All of that stuff that causes cancer should be banned outright and then this wouldn't be an issue.

What has happened to a country that has now become the NANNY STATE / POLICE STATE? People have fought and died for our freedom, yet we give it away so easily. The enemies of freedom are not outside our borders, but right here among us! Years of indoctrination have brought us to this sad state.

Yeah Bobby, you're right. They ought to ban spray paint, hairspray, plastic bottles, blackened steaks, weed killer, x-rays, and about nine million other things. Dufus.

Wow 7:17pm... this is all you got, you petty, small minded coward. I bet you didn't serve your country.
