Choose Two Songs Now to Prepare for March 1 and 3 Auditions for Hamilton-Gibson’s Production of “My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra”

Hamilton-Gibson is holding auditions at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 and Tuesday, March 3 in the Warehouse Theatre at 3 Central Avenue in Wellsboro for “My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra.” Needed are strong solo vocalists.

To audition, singers are asked to prepare two of the songs from a list that is now available on the Hamilton-Gibson website (www.hamiltongibson.org) and Facebook page. “This is not about impersonating Frank Sinatra,” said HG Artistic Director Thomas Putnam. “Rather, it is a classy tribute to his musical style, his era and some of the 20th century’s most beautiful songs.”

The play is set in a 1950s nightclub and performed by four singers who each bring out a facet of Sinatra with their vocal style. The play is written for two men and two women who sing more than 50 songs recorded by “Old Blue Eyes”.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, May 15 and 16 and May 22 and 23 and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 17. For more information, call 570-724-2079 or email hamgib@gmail.com.
