Montoursville, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and the Highway Safety Network held a press event Wednesday in Bloomsburg to honor local police officers for their outstanding participation in PennDOT’s Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project in 2019.

At the event, State Representative David Millard presented a certificate of appreciation to each officer or department in attendance. “You do a terrific job at what you do. A lot of times you don’t get the thanks that you deserve but I am here to tell you thank-you,” the representative said.

Motorists exhibiting other unsafe behaviors such as speeding, following too closely, or other aggressive actions were cited.

Municipal police agencies that participated in last year’s campaign made 39,141 aggressive-driving related contacts citing 22,353 drivers for speeding.
