COVID-19 Statistic Update Thursday, December 17, 2020

In the United States, the COVID-19 virus has infected approximately 17 million people, and there have been over 308,000 deaths. According to the New York State Department of Health COVID-19 tracker, there have been 815,469 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 28,222 deaths statewide. As of 3:30 p.m. on December 17, Allegany County’s statistics are as follows:
Confirmed Cases: 1,517 (22 new)
Recovered Cases: 1,290
COVID-19 Related Deaths: 50 (Depending on reporting times and agencies, this figure may vary between different reports.)
Total Quarantined/Isolated to Date: 6,455
Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 5,570
Currently Quarantined/Isolated: 885
Precautionary Travel Quarantines to Date: 1,388
Total COVID-19 Antibody Tests Given: 903
Total COVID-19 Antibody Positives: 51

123, the virus is more active and prevalent in third world counties, so it gets more attention.
