Catherine Marie Scull, 76, formerly of Bradford, passed away peacefully at home Friday, January 8, 2021 in Brownwood TX.

Born February 27, 1944 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Elisa Jane Hoffman.

Cathy married Billy Scull Sr. on November 27, 1965.  Cathy was a loving mother to their three sons who were the light of her life. 

Cathy worked for many years as the Activity’s Director at the Dresser Home and Bradford Ecumenical Home.  Cathy deeply cared for her residents and they loved her.  Her co-workers were like family to her, and she enjoyed spending her days with them until her retirement in 2009.

Cathy enjoyed her retirement, spending time dancing, going to the casino with friends and walking her beloved dog Bailey. But her greatest joy was traveling to see her grandkids whom she loved to spoil.

Cathy is survived by two sons, Billy Scull Jr and wife Linda of Seffner, FL; and Thomas and wife Valarie of Brownwood, TX; one daughter in-law Karen Scull of Concord ,NC;  two sisters, Beverly Whacker and husband Ed of Grand Junction, CO; and Darlene Wallace and husband Len, of York SC, two brothers, Joe Hoffman of Bradford, and David Hoffman and wife Leslie of Bradford; six grandchildren, Corey Scull of Seffner, FL, Brayden and Clayton Scull of Jamestown, NC and Tanner, Spencer and Madalyn Scull of Brownwood, TX as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Cathy was preceded in death by her husband and her son Steven Wade Scull.

There will be no public services. A private service will be held for family at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes with Rev. Fr. Jim Gutting, Senior Administrator, officiating. Billy and Thomas I send my deepest sympathy for your loss. I am your cousin Janet Ackley. I loved your Mom, she was always laughing, that’s how I remember her. Your Dad was my moms baby brother! He too was a great person! I’m very sorry for your loss! Hugs
