At 6:15 PM on Wednesday, Eldred Township Fire Dept. was dispatched with a UTV to Whitetail Road for a land rescue of a patient in an Emergy Care ambulance that is in the ditch.
Units are advised to stage on the paved road. Whitetail Road is reported very hazardous. Ceres Township was contacted to sent a sand truck.
The ambulance was dispatched for a patient on Sun Valley Road and personnel were apparently not knowledgeable of the location and roads involved. No one was injured when the ambulance slid into the ditch.

Maybe this will get Annin townships attention on how badly they take care of their roads in the winter.
Were they able to rescue the land?
Not Annin township road. Maybe a little training for fire/rescue personnel on roads in their geography area. They do a great job, just lacking basic training. Plus everyone has known for years upper end of whitetail is and was never maintained. They get by with putting up, No winter maintenance" signs. Plus with leadership there training will never been done.
Sun valley road is Annin township
Anonymous mentioned training. My advise , since you seem to know it all, is to join, help train and learn . Volunteers are needed and welcomed. It is easy to criticize from your armchair, it takes courage to help.
