1253, AGREED! I see many of these tankers, whether on an 18 wheeler, or the smaller variety speeding way past posted limits in dry or especially wet weather!

Something looks a little fishy for the hydroplaning. The photo shows the truck was going uphill around a right had corner. One would think momentum would have pushed the truck to the left hand side of the road. photos can be tricky.

I know exactly where he started to hydroplane! I've done it too and was going the speed limit. When the water runs off the hill it stayes there for days and goes all the way across the road.

Figures, it was a Schneider driver. Their drivers are complete idiots. Almost been hit and run off the road by plenty of them. I can’t believe they’re allowed to haul 100,000 pounds of flammable liquid

Hydro 101.If your frontend starts to slide, burp the hammer, slam down a gear, then feather the hammer back down to the mat. If your trailer slides out a little, slam the hammer down, keep front wheels pointed straight in direction of travel. If back of tractor and trailer kick on ya, keep rpm's up slam hammer down to the mat point the front wheels into the slide, dont let the trailer pass ya. Then pull over at the next pull off or truck stop and throw away your undies.

The road from 287 Inn clear south till 220 is a very slippery road... tar and chipped my PennDOT,,, the tar through the stones in both lanes is like ice... so driver should have been going slower yes but,,, it’s deff not hard to slide on that section of road...
