Others present were Solicitor-Mike Plummer; Council Pres.-Joe Petrencsik and Borough/Auth Secy-Andrea Caracciolo.

Chairman Adami called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM followed by the Pledge to the flag.  He then welcomed the newly appointed member Mike Brown to the Board.

WATER REPORT
A discussion was held on the transmission line.  Joe has requested a quote for pipe…..both PVC and ductile iron.  Joe was told that PVC pipe is very hard to get right now.  The better alternative is the ductile iron, but the Authority agreed that whichever was available first is what would be used.

The secretary told the Authority that she is waiting on the first drawdown request from the PA Small Facilities Water Grant we received for the water plant mandates to pay Martz for the design and Larson for engineering services to date.  Also it was noted that the permit has been approved but not yet issued.  The bid packets will be advertised and out very soon for the project.

A discussion was held on the Watrous Water project.  The agreement between Watrous Water Assoc. and the Galeton Borough Auth. has been reviewed and revised several times and is to the point of both parties agreeing now.  This agreement is the first step to apply and obtain grants for this project.

A motion was made by Tom Smith, seconded by Mike Brown approving the agreement.  All were in favor, motion carried.

SEWER REPORT
A discussion was held on the status of the sewer plant upgrades.  The bidding should be out shortly.

Joe told the Authority that the pump station at the Acorn is currently having issues.  The issue is when the electric goes off the EPR valve doesn’t work and needs replaced as soon as possible.  A quote from Cleveland Bros. was received in the amount of $2,625.00 for the valve.
A motion was made by Tom Smith, seconded by George Bowen to purchase the valve.  All were in favor, motion carried.

ADJOURNMENT
