Lawrence “Larry” C. Hagg

Lawrence “Larry” C. Hagg, 67, of Smethport, PA, passed away Thursday (May 6, 2021) at UPMC-Cole, Coudersport.

He was born September 21, 1953 in Kane, a son of Marlin Hagg and Betty Woodin Hagg Dunn.  On April 24, 1982, in Ormsby, PA, he married Nancy K. Norman, who survives.
Larry was a 1971 graduate of Smethport High School.  He was a supervisor at Temple-Inland Particle Board and MDF Plant of Mt. Jewett, PA.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, was a former Smethport School Board member, was a former President of the Smethport Sports Boosters, and had coached both softball and baseball in Smethport.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, Larry is survived by:
Two daughters:  Jennifer L. (Chad) Work of Corning, NY and Melissa M. (Mike) Walewski of Butler, PA
One son: Mathew H. Hagg of Pittsburgh, PA
Four grandchildren:  Kayleb, Gracee, Olivia and Ian
Four brothers:  Lon (Carol) Hagg of Jacksonville, FL, Martin (Sue) Hagg of Smethport, Marlin (Myrna) Hagg of Eldred, and Gary (Nancy) Hagg of East Smethport
Three sisters:  Lynne (Tom) Kolivoski of Smethport, Bonnie Isler of Buffalo, NY, and Marilyn (Jezebel) Hagg of Tucson, AZ
And many nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Thrash.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9-10:30 AM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport.  A Mass of Christian burial will follow after visitation at 11 AM from St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, with the Rev. Vincent P. Cieslewicz, pastor, as Celebrant.  Committal will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport.

I am so sorry to hear of Larry's passing----I have memories of him and his brother at the Diner when I worked there and later when we all worked with their dad at the Gateway. Rest in Peace.
