PennDOT Elk/McKean County Maintenance Work Schedule for the Week of June 14, 2021 – June 18, 2021

Ridgway/Mount Alton, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Elk/McKean County Maintenance announces the following work schedule for the week of June 14-June 18, weather permitting.  Motorists should travel with extra caution in these and all work areas. Motorists should be aware that due to the nature of highway maintenance and emergency work, crews could be working on any highway at any time of the day or night.

This work will be done in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and State Department of Health guidance as well as COVID-19 safety guidance, including protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols.

Elk County 0280
Spray Patching:

Dents Run Bridge/SR-0555-P-23/Elk Co - Contractor: Wolyniec Construction Inc.

ECMS 4354 - For the improvement of a certain section of STATE HIGHWAY in ELK COUNTY, BENEZETTE TOWNSHIP, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, STATE ROUTE 0555, SECTION P23. The project being situated as follows: On State Route 0555 from Segment 0380/Offset 0397 to Segment 0370/Offset 2721 in Elk County over Dents Run. For rehabilitation work of the structure including bridge superstructure replacement and repointing of abutment stone. Roadway includes Superpave Asphalt Mixture Designs for the base, binder, and wearing courses, pavement base drain, guide rail, pavement markings, and miscellaneous construction for a total construction length of approximately 800 linear feet (0.152 miles) as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package.
Next Week:

Contractor is scheduled to continue construction of temporary roadway over Dents Run and tree removal throughout the week. 

Traffic on SR-0555 will be controlled by flaggers when operations required. Drives can expect short delays through the work zone
 
Drivers are reminded to be watch for stopped vehicles and to obey the posted speed limits and construction signing. 

Work to be performed Monday through Friday during daylight hours and all operations and schedules are weather dependent.
