Ryan Race Receives Special Recognition from Bradford Rotary

William W. Chapman, Rotary Club of Bradford President presents a Paul Harris Fellow to Ryan Race, Northwest Bank, Bradford Office Manager.

Ryan Race received Paul Harris Fellow recognition at a recent Rotary Club of Bradford meeting.  This recognition is a special expression of appreciation for his service and gifts to The Rotary Foundation.

The presentation of Paul Harris Fellow is the foundation’s way of expressing its appreciation for a substantial contribution to its humanitarian and educational programs. It is named for the founder of Rotary, Paul Harris, a Chicago lawyer who started Rotary International with three business associates in 1905. Rotarians often designate a Paul Harris Fellow as a tribute to a person whose life demonstrates a shared purpose with the objectives of The Rotary Foundation.

“It is our club's honor and pleasure to recognize Ryan Race as he becomes a Paul Harris Fellow,” said William W. Chapman, Rotary Club President.  "It is because of Ryan's contributions that our club and the foundation are able to carry out an array of programs that achieve beneficial changes locally and around the world.”

Race is the Bradford Office Manager at Northwest Bank.  In addition to Rotary, Race serves on the board as treasurer for the United Way of the Bradford Area, Inc. and is a member of the Exchange Club.  He has also served on the committees for the Willow Creek Triathlon and Pumpkinfest; and was a past member of the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Salvation Army.  Race is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Bradford.

The Rotary Club of Bradford supports local organizations such as CARE for Children, Evergreen Elm, Futures Rehabilitation Center Inc, McKean County Special Olympics and the YWCA of Bradford.  The club also conducts an annual coat drive through Operation Warm which benefits students in the Bradford Area School District; a pancake breakfast, an annual golf tournament which is scheduled for June 27th, and Route 219 clean up.
