William Robert Graffius

William Robert Graffius, 84, of 6510 Richburg Hill Road passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in the Cuba Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. 

Born on April 23, 1937 in Bradford, PA, he was the son of Melvin W. and Mary Prokopi Graffius. Bill married Pamela Riggs on July 3, 1971 in Ellicottville, Mrs. Graffius survives.

Bill was a graduate of Bradford, PA. High School and continued his education at University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. 

Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving

US Air Force Veteran

from 1955-1959.

He was employed as a pattern maker for Coachman Industrial Patterns, Elkhart, IN and later at Dresser Rand Company, Wellsville. Bill was a member of the Western New York Shuetzen Society, and was proud to have obtained his private pilot’s license.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, William R. (Paula) Graffius, Perrysburg, Ohio; two grandchildren, William (Jennifer) Graffius and Julie (Andrew) Jarrett; five great-grandchildren, William, Zachary, Drew, Colin and Emmitt. 

He was preceded in death by a daughter Jill and a brother Melvin.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar, at 12 Noon. Rev. David Herne of Heritage AFlame Ministries will officiate.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., Bolivar.
