Lloyd Allen Eckert of Corry, PA

Lloyd Allen Eckert

Lloyd Allen Eckert of Corry, PA passed away peacefully in Meadville surrounded by family on August 3, 2022, at the age of 60 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lloyd was born on March 24, 1962, at Charles Cole Hospital in Coudersport, PA to Michael Raymond Eckert and Carol (Gay) Eckert.

Lloyd was a 1982 graduate of Corry High School. Upon receiving his diploma, he stood proudly on the podium and exclaimed, "I DID IT, DAD!"

Those familiar with Lloyd would tell you he was a salt of the earth, hard working man with a kind heart. Lloyd was always willing to get his hands dirty to help others in need. Lloyd's sense of humor was infectious and sincere, rarely missing an opportunity to crack a joke and make others laugh.

Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it was with his siblings, his children, or his grandchildren. He was an understanding and loving husband, son, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather. Lloyd enjoyed being outdoors doing things like hunting, fishing, sports, or even working. He enjoyed the peacefulness he found at his home.

He spent his career working for local businesses in the Corry/Spartansburg area, such as Sparty Lumber, Troy's, Leroy's Towing, and CSA Sand & Gravel.

He is survived by his father, Michael Raymond Eckert of Saegertown; four brothers - Mike (Butch), Walt, Rick, and Charlie; and five sisters - Grace, Sandi, Julie, Patti, and Beth. He is also survived by his former spouse, Maureen Earley, daughters - Bonnie, Connie, and Whitney; a son Jimmy, his grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews - all of whom he loved immensely.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his brother Robert (Rob) Eckert of Meadville, PA, his sister Joann Roboski of Roulette, PA, and mother Carol Eckert of Johnsonburg, PA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335. Please sign the online guestbook at hatheway-tedesco.com.
